Hello,
So I reccently bought a laptop and installed open office off this website. But spell check doesnt work. If i write a paper in Writer, and then use the spellcheck, it doesnt tell me if i have any spelling mistakes. I can have a few blatant mistakes, but if I click on spellcheck it will tell me imediately "Spellcheck is complete", everytime, without showing me my mistakes, which I know are there. So if I could get help with that one, that would be amazing, thanks so much!

What OS are you using? What language is the system set to use?
What language(s) are you using OpenOffice to write in?

You may also want to take a look at the Spell check and Language configuration tutorial. It has a number of tips on setting up OOo for your language(s).
