when trying to open OO, i get a "document recovery" message, listing 2 documents that need to be something done with. One option is start recovery, and instructions to push "start recovery" box. no such box shows on the screen, i cannot even close the message box. I have removed and reinstalled OO, still same message. Consequently, i can't open any OO applications. Computer is Dell Insperion, operating is Windows XP. Help?!

Weird, same issue as here: file recovery screen will not shut. Can you make a screenshot and post it here? If bigger than 128 kB (use .png), use a file sharing web site (like mediafire.com).
LibreOffice 25.2 on Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE Faye) and 24.8 portable on Windows 11.
