I've typed my paper in times new roman, but it won't format it in it. It's just this one paper that writer refuses to format in times new roman. My operating system is XP home and I have Open Office 2.0. I would appreciate any help as this is a term paper and I don't want to have to retype ten pages.
Thanks

Re: Letter Formatting Will Not Change
2.0 is completely deprecated now. You should upgrade to 2.3.1.
If you change the Default paragraph style font (open the Style and formatting pane - F11 - and right click on the Default entry), does it help? Can you upload here a small sample file?

That worked, Thank You so much. If I download the new open office will I lose any of my documents? and will I be able to uninstall 2.0?

Re: Letter Formatting Will Not Change
You can just install 2.3.1 over the top of 2.0. Your documents should be fine.
