Hi all. Weird little problem here. When I launch spell check, even with the cursor fixed at the top of the document, it jumps around halfway to three-quarters of the way down the doc and starts checking there. I intentionally misspelled several words in the first sentence just to give it something to "catch", but it ignores those and jumps down anyway.

Any help would be appreciated. By the way, the red lines are also not appearing under misspelled words if that's part of the problem (I assume it is). Thanks!

I'm going to suggest resetting your OpenOffice User Profile, as that (usually) resolves spell check problems.
As you are using a Mac (according to your online signature), help is in Q02/A02 of the Mac FAQ

In the OP's other thread, this was solved - different language settings used.
