Writer not saving to Computer

I hit save as and give it a name, It does not give me an error code just File not found. I'm trying to save the document not restore it. any ideas?

I have used Writer for a number of years. Just recently, I am unable to save a new document or an existing, saved document that has been updated. There is no response when I try to save. I use Windows 7 and Writer 4.1.3.

- check the HDD if is enough place on it to save the document.
- try to save onto a portable device (do not do it generally, but make a try now).
- try to reset the AOO user profile.
- check your PC for viruses and malwares.
- try to switch off the virus/malware protection programs temporarly (do not do it generally, but make a try now).
- try to reinstall the AOO
- try the LibreOffice (at least a portable version).

This is not the same problem posted by the OP. The OP was getting a response, so the solution to your problem may not be the same as for the OP. That said, in your case, the Save As dialog may be appearing off the screen, in which case resetting your user profile should fix the problem.
