How can I OPEN a .wps file?

I want to open a .wps file. Is this possible (I believe it was created with MicroSoft Works.

Thank you RoryOF. That worked for this file. Nevertheless, is there a way to open a .wps file using OpenOffice?

Currently this option isn't directly available.
If you would like to see it included, you can submit a request via the bug tracker at http://openoffice.apache.org/bug-tracking.html
Alternately you can test your coding skills by writing & implementing a routine to do this with the current source code. For more information check http://openoffice.apache.org/get-involved.html
At the moment, the closest available is to submit the file to Zamzar and get them to translate it to a format that OpenOffice currently supports (as you have already done)

Libreoffice will open .wps files. http://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/
