XP x64 writer2.40を使用している初心者です。
Wordでいうところの「テキストボックス」ってwriterではどうやって作るんですか？
具体的には横書きのページに縦書きのものをどうやって追加すればいいんですか？
どうか教えてください。

「枠」ダイアログの「オプション」タブを開いてください。
「文字の方向」で「右から左（縦書き）」を選択してください。

なるほど！できました。どうもありがとうございます。
枠の挿入まではやったことがあったんですけど、オプションはよく見ていませんでした

To create a text box in Microsoft Word and add vertical text to a horizontal page, you can follow these steps:
Open Microsoft Word and open a new or existing document.
