I'm still fighting with Sun Report Builder.
I installed 1.0.2 to avoid the blank report bug of 1.0.4
Now i have another problem
I'm making a list of two fields grouped by two other fields.
I've not managed yet to sort the first grouping level.
I sort it with a descending order, i do a quick try with the green arrow
icon without closing SRB and everything is fine.
I save it and close SRB, double click on the report and the descending
sorting is gone.
I open it again, set the descending sorting again, save it, switch to oOO
without closing SRB, double click on the report and everything is fine,
except that i can't close SRB or oOO without shutting them down from
the Task Manager.
Obviously on restarting oOO the order is still wrong.
Anyone?

Sorting and grouping settings not being saved in SRB
OOo 3.2.1 on Ms Windows XP

Remove that bullshit and use Calc's data pilots for pretty printing of your database while grouping, filtering formatting and reorganizing the output in the most flexible manner ("rubber tables" with draggable fields).Zaphod Beeblebrox wrote:I'm still fighting with Sun Report Builder.

There are two bugs though:
1. Time fields and date-time stamps don't import from Base into the pilot. Workaround: import to a sheet and create the pilot from there.
2. All equivalent sections in all pilots share the same cell-style, which can be extra annoying when you want to display different number formats. Workaround: hard formatting which will be destroyed on next refresh.
