[Solved] Selecting invisible objects

Post by Ralph L »

How does one select invisible objects in writer. I drew a rectange with writer and made both the line and the fill invisible (I used it as a keep out area for a preprinted picture on the stationery.) Used the wrap function to wrap text around it. However, now I cannot select the rectangle so I can change its size.

Appreciate any input that someone might have. I am a beginner.

Click the "select" button on the Drawing toolbar then drag the mouse pointer around the object.

Bill's suggestion is what normally works for me.
But also, if you name the object you'll be able to select it later in the Navigator under "Draw objects." (Draw the object, and while it's still selected, right-click and choose "name object.") This is very helpful if you have a number of small items near each other but only want to select that one.
Cheers!

[SOLVED]Selecting invisible objects

Thank you very much. Using the drawing toolbar select tool and draging around the object worked. Now how do I say the problem is solved.

Go to your initial post and click the Edit button (top right), then just type [Solved] in the subject line and submit.
