I am trying to see if OO will solve some problems that I am having with LibreOffice.
I have removed LibreOffice from my system and installed all of the OpenOffice RPMs. Back in the day the command was soffice -writer but soffice is not on my system. Nor, for that matter did OO build menu entries in KDE. At this rate I am going to need to replace all of the hair that I have pulled out. Ugh!
I suppose it would be nice if I could start OO writer

Code: Select all
/opt/openoffice4/program/swriterIn the tarball you got the rpms there is a subdirectory called desktop-integration containing desktop setups for various WMs - for KDE you need to install the one which has 'freedesktop-menus' in the name.
Slackware 15 (current) 64 bit
Apache OpenOffice 4.1.16
LibreOffice 26.2.3.2; SlackBuild for 26.2.3 by Eric Hameleers

I hate this damn computer, I wish that I could sell it.
It won't do what I want it to, Only what I tell it.
