OpenOffice on Google Chrome laptop

Can one download Open office (esp Writer) onto a Google Chrome laptop to use if for word processing?

I believe there are versions only for Windows, some Linux systems and the Mac : Apache OpenOffice Downloads - Official Site - All Builds.
Apache OpenOffice 4.1.12 on Linux

There’s also AndrOpenOffice for Android. Perhaps, it can run under ChromeOS.

I have seen methods of putting one of the Ubuntu versions on a Chromebook (erasing the existing OS - I'll do this if I acquire an unloved Chromebook); such an installation would then be able to run OpenOffice.

I think whether it uses an Intel or an ARM processor is a very relevant consideration here.
LibreOffice 7.x.x on Arch and Fedora.
