How to convert doc or docx to odt with windows 8.1 metro?

I need to write a conversion app that imports a doc file and spits out odt file. I found AODL in the nuget library. It installs fine for windows store application, or winrt. But since there is a total lack of documentation, I'm at a loss.

Does anyone here have any experience with the control for winrt?
