Impress Multiple Monitor Support

Post by StanL »

Welcome beginner. Please answer all of the questions below which may provide information necessary to answer your question.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Which version of OpenOffice.org are you using?2.4
What Operating System (version) are you using?WIN2000 SP2
What is your question or comment? MS Power Point has a very useful feature called "Presenter's View". This is used when utilizing multiple monitors. The secondary monitor (typically a projector) displays the slide presentation and the main monitor provides speakers notes and current slide with navigation control. Impression provides multiple monitor support but the secondary monitor behaves like a separate desktop. When the secondary monitor is showing the slides, the navigation control will only control the secondary monitor. I use a Matrox G550 dual-head graphics card. Is there any way to duplicate the MS Powerpoint feature?

This feature is called Sun Presenter Console, and is available as a Beta release from here: http://extensions.services.openoffice.o ... ter-screen
Note that it requires OpenOffice.org 3.0 or higher which is also currently in Beta.
openSUSE 11.4, KDE4.6 with OpenOffice.org 3.3
