Add new fields to existing form
Add new fields to existing form
I created a form and have entered data into it. It works properly, but I now need to add a couple of fields to the form. I had no problem adding the fields to the table, but can't figure out how to add them to the form.

Hello
Open your form in edit mode. Then you can add controls to your form.
There are several methods how you can do it. When you activate the "Add field" on the form design toolbar then you can select the field for your form.

Hello
I think start study
start here
I think a good starting point can maybe this [Tutorial] Forms in OpenOffice.org Base. You can find there also links to other tutorials. Not all tutorials are even important for you
This tutorial of Arineckaig describes what you can do with the Navigation toolbar and with the navigation control.
There are two sub forums for Base one for Tutorials and one for examples you can find there a lot of information
I really think when you want work with OOo-base you have to read some tutorials. You have to learn how to edit forms and also learn how to modify the controls. An other point is learning about SQL. I think you can find some links for real tutorials in the links.

Re: Add new fields to existing form
There is also now a LibreOffice User Guide for Base, Chapter 4 of which covers Forms, that you may find relevant and helpful as an introduction to AOO Base. It can be downloaded from:I can't find a way to add controls or activate the "Add field"

When this issue has been resolved, it would help other users of the forum if you add the word - [Solved] - to the Subject line of your 1st post (edit button top right).
