Since down-loading OpenOffice 3.4.1, the ranges on my sheets changed. I eventually deleted the existing ranges, and followed the steps to define the range ($'Sheetname'.$A$5:$BB$403), name the range on my spreadsheet, apply "autofilter", saved the changes, and closed the spreadsheet.
When I re-open the sheet and try to sort the information, the range changes by 2 rows ($'Sheetname'.$A$5:$BB$405), and the name I assign is replaced with (Excel_BuiltIn__FilterDatabase). This is going on about 20 times now.
Any suggestions on how to have the range and range name "save" as they have been entered?

What document format are you saving to?
Saving to any format other than OOo's native ODF format (.ods for spreadsheets) carries some risk of running into problems. If you're not saving as ODF, try that and see if you still have a problem.
