Now that I tried the search utility on http://user.services.openoffice.org/ a few times I see that it needs more space that I originally thought - I had some kind of notion that the list of search results would be displayed across the page instead of just a frame. The space for the nl forum names can me a lot narrower on my 1280 wide screen - making more space for the search results that are now squeezed in a very narrow space.

NB: my screen is 1600x1200.
Font size is default one, no minimal size set.

The reply frame is wider on my 1280x1024 screen than Hagar's screenshot. The width allocated to the Forum Names list could be reduced to 3/4 of the existing, without cramping the names, which would be similar to Floris v's suggestion.
