Connecting to a spreadsheet with more than one sheet

Post by hviaene »

Connecting to a spreadsheet which has only a single sheet works perfect, no problem. I have created a query on that spreadsheet.
But now I add a second sheet to this spreadsheet (with the same structure as the first sheet), but there seems to be no way I can tell Base to look at this second sheet as source for its data. Is this possible?

I'm sorry no one's been able to answer your question yet. It would help if you could provide informaiton on what Operating System (e.g. Windows, Linux or Mac) and which version of OpenOffice.org you are using.

I seem to remember that when I've connected to a multi-sheet spreadsheet each sheet shows up as a separate table. Maybe the issue is that you added a new sheet after creating the connection? Or maybe my memory is wrong.

To be more precise: The used range of every sheet appears as a separate table. Additionally you can add database ranges (Menu:Data>Define...) which appear as tables as well. The latter is particulary useful when the used range includes more than a plain list with headers.
