[Solved] LibreOffice 3.3.4: Formatting Aids

Post by wolf77 »

Hello

If I choose Tools > Options > LibreOffice Writer > Formatting Aids all the given terms (Paragraph end, Spaces, Tabs) are active. But in a document neither a Tab nor a Space is displayed.

What can I do that LibreOffice will display these terms in a document? Thanks in advance.

You can choose one of the 3 following method :
  • Icon ¶ (on standard toolbar)
  • Menu View > NonPrinting Characters
  • CTRL+F10

I'm running LibreOffice 3.4.4 OOO340m1 (Build:402) on Fedora Linux x86_64.

None of three of the alternate ways to enable the viewing of non-printing characters
do anything for the display of my documents. None show non-printing characters.

Could I be missing a font?

I found the answer to my problem:
Tools → Options → LibreOffice Writer → Formatting Aids
then check the non-printing characters to be displayed.
