Calc not locking files stored in a samba share

Hi !!

I have a samba server that offer shares to both Windows and Linux Clients. When I open a excell file stored in the samaba share from calc (OO 2.3 Ubuntu 7.10) the file is not locked. So every one can write to it, a terrible mess !!!!

I've done some experiments and It seems to me that is OpenOffice who is not locking the file. I'm reallly desperated with this issue.
