Greetings!
I've been using the X11 version of OOo for a while now, and couldn't be happier. Free, and it works! The only complaint (if you can call it that) that I have was the loading times for X11. This is by no means a deal breaker.
Anyways, so, I heard that the Aqua version of OOo was making some progress, and would eliminate my only 'problem', but judging by what I've read, it's still relatively unstable. Seeing as I'm a college student with papers and whatnot to write, I'd rather not find out the hard way when my stuff disappears or stops working.
So my question is this: Am I better off sticking with the X11 port of OOo (2.3.1), or is the Aqua version (3.0.0 when I checked) stable enough to use?
Thanks!

If you don't like X11 you could try NeoOffice, but I'm not sure whether you would find it any quicker. You can have NeoOffice and OOo installed on the same Mac.

If you are using Leopard please try http://shaunmcdonald131.blogspot.com/20 ... d-out.html and see if that makes the startup faster.
