Reading MS Access Files

Post by tom0407 »

Hi,

Firstly I'd like to say these are the prettiest forums I've seen in a long while lol :) I really like the different icons for each forum, and they work really fast. So very impressed so far.

Now my question.

I have a client who has presented me with a CD with an Access database on it. Unfortunately I don't have a recent enough version of Access to read and edit it. If I install OpenOffice will I be able to read the file and save out in Access format again, so I can send back to the client?

Thanks for you help,
Tom

Well, if you did not stumble upon the Survival Guide there must be something wrong with the forum design.
Please, edit this topic's initial post and add "[Solved]" to the subject line if your problem has been solved.

OK sorry quick search reveals it may be possible. I guess I'll just download it and give it a whirl.

Thanks
