[Solved] Howto install second interface language?

Post by hansrood »

Please help, I am desperately looking for something trivial.
I promised an officepackage with a Dutch and an Italian user interface, I Installed OOo 3.2 from a OOo-CD amd added the Italian spellchecker files.
However after more than two days i still have no language Pack :(

I found one "...-l10n-if " file at a Debian-site. It was for OOo rel 2.0.2.
Same for the "...help.it "file.

Some 'zero0w' wrote here that the needed files were t be found at oootranslation.services.openoffice.org ... I found two files for msWindows and the OOo-release 2.3: "wRE_it.exe" and "install_it.exe" . I have no idea what they are or how to use them. They are more than 100MB long so maybe they are complete installations?

Please help me out, let me show the power of open software om a wondowsbox, Vista in this case. In don't know anything of Windowses but I do know that a second language is only 4 click away on a Linux-distro, so it cant be that difficult.

TIA!

hansrood

See that thread: Change language for user interface (menus & help files).

Thanks to add '[Solved]' in your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed.
LibreOffice 25.2 on Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE Faye) and 24.8 portable on Windows 11.
