I downloaded oo several weeks ago. Today I dragged and dropped a web page into oo writer. Then the open office was shut . Upon trying to go back into it, a different screen came up and says: "Press "start recovery to start document recovery " of documents listed below.
There is no button to even push. Now oo will not even close unless i press alt/ctrl/delete.
After several tries I decided to uninstall oo. Then I reinstalled it. When I tried to open oo it again brought up the same screen wanting me to start recovery of document. Again I cannot even access the recovery button. I do have a 15" inch. I tried to move the screen around but to no sucess.
My OPS is windows me.
Hope someone can help me get this solved
thanks,nubbin

File recovery screen will not shut
Re: file recovery screen will not shut
Have you tried simply pressing "enter" on the keyboard? If that does not work immediately try fidling with the Tab button first.
Still this should not have happened, have you ever had a problem like this with other programs?

Re: file recovery screen will not shut
To stop the recovery process, you can delete the file Documents and settings/<user>/Application data/Openoffice.org2/user/registry/data/org/openoffice/Office/Recovery.xcu. But it's just a workaround in your case.
Beware, it resets the settings for Autosave in the Tools>Options>Load/Save>General dialog.
