[Solved] How to remove the author of PDF file?

Post by akyahoo »

File-->Export as PDF. Then, right click the "Properties" of the PDF file. In the second tab "PDF Information". It shows the author.

How to remove this personal information? I do not want my name to be shown in PDF Document Information.

If you still have the source file (I assume that you have) try this: before exporting the file go to File > Properties > general (the first tab of the dialog box) and uncheck the opition "Use user data" and press delete. Then export the doc to the PDF. That should help.

Since I use native language version of the OOo, the names of the options may be slightly diffrent.

In the UK English version the options are File > Properties > General Tab, uncheck the Apply User Data option, click Reset and then click OK.

If this has answered your question please go to your first post and use the Edit button, and add [Solved] to the start of the title. You can use the green tick icon at the same time if you like.

Any file you create automatically takes the user name you used to logon with. Simply creating a new user will solve the author issue. I also struggled a bit with this until my wife suggested creating a new user ... :o  Of course ... what was I thinking??!!
