[Solved] Form navigator not working

Post by k0dpw »

I was designing a data entry form in BASE to update a product inventory data base table, and attempting to create subform fields that would be calculated from data entered into the main form using examples from calculate_form.odb and factor.odb cited in these support forums by other posters as examples of how to do this.

Problem is, I have lost the form navigator functions completely, clicking on the icon makes the window "shiver", but no pop-up form navigator menu box pops up, to use. It has not only disappeared in my application, but also does not work in the example .odb(s).

What now ??? :?: :?: :?:

Try resetting your user profile. You can just rename it to see if this fixes the problem, which means that if it doesn't you step back.

Btw, I think live links in your sig is against the forum rules. You can turn off URL recognition to change this.

If this has answered your question please go to your first post and use the Edit button, and add [Solved] to the start of the title. You can also use the green tick icon.

bobban - thanks for the help.

renaming the user folder and forcing a new user initialization process via the welcome process DID fix the form navigator problem going in-operative.

I don't know what caused the failure, but don't have time to investigate further right now, so just deleting the old user stuff eventually and going with the new user initialization,

when I upgraded to OOo 3+, I'm sure I probably checked the box to transfer user settings from the old release OOo 2.?, and therein may have originated the problem, however does not explain why forum navigator worked for some time.

have not seen rules against URLs in signature, but don't want to violate board policy, so have removed signature URL

thanks again for the assistance
