hsqldb record(s) export/import into Thunderbird Calendar

Post by dreamquartz »

Hello All,

We use Thunderbird Calendar to inform others about locations to go, and contact information @ those locations.
At this point in time it is basically copy/paste, which is becoming a very tedious process.

We are looking for a method to export/import database information into the Calendar (Lightning) of Thunderbird.
The 'others' do not have access to the DataBase.
We would like to do selective info dumps, based on type of info, and 'groups' of people, because not everyone needs the same info.
We have no problem to have separate solutions at this point in time.

I have been looking around @ the forums, internet, and literature, but am unable to determine if it is @ all possible.

I am looking for information on how to proceed, possible (partial) solutions, or any other suggestion and/or comments.

Thank you in advance,

Dream
LO 7.x, HSQLDB 2.7.x & Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.

I remember some old threads on writing .ics-files from Calc. The same should be possible from Base.
