[Solved] Opening documents causes OpenOffice to stop
I can only open one or two documents and then it stops. The only way I can carry on is to restart my laptop. I have downloaded the program 3 times and its still the same

Any security application that could interfere? Is AOO white listed?
Else, try a portable version of LibreOffice to check if it's better.
What size are the documents?

Re: Opening documents causes OpenOffice to stop
On Windows 11 press the keyboard hotkey combination CTRL+SHIFT+Esc. This will open the Task Manager component of Windows. In there, in the Performance section, you will be able to see how much free memory you have. In that Performance section just click on Memory (which is actually a button) and you will get a clear indication of free memory. If you are not familiar with the Task Manager there is a good quick guide here: Windows Task Manager: The Complete Guide
As you are on Windows 11 I would suggest that you switch from OpenOffice to LibreOffice — if your free memory looks fine then you might have better luck with LibreOffice with respect to opening multiple documents. There are several good reasons for making the switch anyway, some of which are mentioned here: [Tutorial] Considering a Switch from OpenOffice to LibreOffice? Some Useful Information
