AOO download from SourceForge does not start

Post by reimerron »

Edit: Split from [Solved] AOO download from SourceForge does not start because that topic is solved so you need your own. The original problem was solved long ago. Please do not post in another's topic unless you are helping to solve their problem for them.

I am having the same problem in 2024 the the OP had. Any ideas on how to get the download to work? TIA

I suggest you to use the LibreOffice:
https://www.libreoffice.org/download/do ... breoffice/
Tibor Kovacs, Hungary; LO7.5.8 /Win7-10 x64Prof.
PortableApps/winPenPack: LO3.3.0-7.6.2;AOO4.1.14
Please, edit the initial post in the topic: add the word [Solved] at the beginning of the subject line - if your problem has been solved.

At the SourceForge page (where the download is actually initiated) click on the button that says Problems Downloading? In the box that then opens up click on the 'direct link' embedded in the option Please use this direct link, or try another mirror.

Above said you would be better advised to forget about OpenOffice and switch to LibreOffice instead. There are several good reasons for making that switch, some of which are given here: [Tutorial] Considering a Switch from OpenOffice to LibreOffice? Some Useful Information
Windows 10 Pro. x64
LibreOffice (Still) 7.6.5.2 (x64) Fully installed to system
LibreOffice (Still) Portable 7.6.5.2 (x86) [PortableApps]
