[Solved] Desktop integration file: 4.1.15-9813 versus 9811

Post by thespian1967 »

4.1.15 has in the Desktop-Integration folder 2 files:

Code: Select all

openoffice4.1-debian-menus_4.1.14-9811_all.deb
openoffice4.1-debian-menus_4.1.15-9813_all.deb
The instructions say to install the correct one for my system. (I have Linux Mint 21.2 -- Cinnamon).

Please, if you know, which of the above do I install? I've searched the forum for this and have no results.

Please ignore my signature, below, it has been years since I last had a question for this forum.

Edit: Changed subject, was 4.1.15-9813 versus 9811

My version only has the 9813 file. I would always select the latest version (higher version number) if I had any doubt.

+1 with Rory, trust the version number that relates to the AOO version you are installing, thus the one with 4.1.15. The other one may have been forgotten when the package was made.

Please add [Solved] at the beginning of the title in your first post (top of the topic) with the 🖉 button if your issue has been fixed.
