[Solved] How to make text object toolbar permanent

Post by JohnMolta »

[Solved] Recently the "text object" toolbar stopped appearing automatically when I opened a document (don't know what I did to cause this). This is the one that shows Bold, Italic, etc. I can turn it on with View->Toolbars->Text Object. But when I close the document and then open it or any other document is gone. How can I make it permanent?

The Text Object toolbar is context sensitive. It should appear automatically only when a Text Object is selected. It It shouldn't appear in a new document or when a document is opened. Perhaps you turned off the Formatting Toolbar which also has Bold, Italic, etc. and normally appears in all documents. Use View > Toolbars > Formatting to turn it back on.

Indeed, I couldn't remember the correct toolbar, that's the Formatting one!
I'm so used to the side bar now, I've removed the horizontal one years ago.
