Spambot challenge has been beaten

When people register on this forum, they have to pass a CAPTCHA to ensure that they are a human and not a bot. However, the black letters on a grey grainy background that this site currently uses has actually been beaten over 20 years ago and therefore doesn't really keep any spambots out anymore.

I recommend switching to a Q&A or using a sortables captcha plugin. (https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/exte ... s_captcha/) That if set up properly would stop most spambots at the gate.

Just posting this since I see lots of banned spam accounts in the memberlist.

Tbh, that reads like how to report issues with the product itself, not this site.

Use that link to communicate suggestions to the team which maintains this forum. They don't use this forum and won't see this topic.
