[Solved] Sheet tabs jump when selected

I have this really weird thing going on.
I have a calc file with 250+ sheets.
If i choose any sheet tab within the first 20 or so tabs, the tab will remain in whichever position on my screen as it was when choosing.
The further down the file (say sheet tab #200), if the sheet tab is on the left of my screen, when I click said tab, it will instantly jump to the FAR RIGHT of the screen.
This is extremely annoying since this is my main program.
I have searched Libre's setting without success.
I have even removed all macros for testing, without success.

Any wisdom you can shed on this matter would be appreciated.

it is my invoicing program, which means it will grow larger in time.
why? - is it unusual for folks to have a spreadsheet with hundreds of sheets?
does a certain number of sheets screw with the programming of Libre Calc?

btw - i didnt have this problem until I upgraded from Calc Ver 5. ....so much for improving oneself..

An invoicing system might be better handled using a database and reports, but it is your decision how to handle your task.

Your signature tells LibreOffice 5.0.6.3 on open Suse 13.2.

2. I can't reproduce the described behaviour with any of the few LibreOffice Portable versions I tried nor with my current "production" version 7.5.3.2 on Windows.

3. Using numbers or strings containing special characters as sheet names is a bad idea.

4. You already got the advice to consider using a database for your data and a form file for the invoices.
Anyway: Also if you want to stick to Calc for the data keeping in your case for the sake of more experience, you should keep data sets of same type in ONE sheet per record type, ONE row per record.
The invoices should be printed then based on ONE (per design if changing) sheet pulling the specific data by formulas based on a simple KEY designating the respective order or job.

In my opinion it is uncomfortable to handle the too many sheets.
The uncomfortability is one of the sources of errors.

For example:
There are many similar sheet names. Maybe you will copy-paste some data into a wrong place...

after endless attempts, i figured out the cause.
I had about a dozen sheets hidden, once they are "shown', the problem goes away.
now.... can you tell me WHY?
