You may try LibreOffice. Same code base but more actively developed.

Actually, it seems there is a problem with the SourceForge server. There are messages on the AOO dev mailing list.

There was a SourceForge problem earlier today; I think it is now fixed. At a guess they may have been doing an entire system restore.
