SOLVED. Now using LibreOffice. Thank you very much...
"The current Apache OpenOffice (from 7/ 2021) supports Apple MacOS X version 10.7 (Lion) - 10.11 (El Capitan) and macOS 10.12 (Sierra) - 10.13 (High Sierra)."
I uninstalled Open Office due to the new MacOS Ventura 13 which made OO totally buggy & unworkable.
Now I am unable to re-install due to the new MacOS.
Any plans to create an Open Office version that will works with the new restrictive & demanding MacOS?
I am unable to create any documents at this point. Thx...

Hi and welcome to the forum!
Try LibreOffice instead. It is based on the same code (OpenOffice.org) but much more actively developed.
Please add [Solved] at the beginning of the title in your first post (top of the topic) with the 🖉 button if your issue has been fixed.

Re: MacOS 13 (Ventura) does not support OpenOffice
I have been sent this solution from a Mac user on another list:
The new System Settings in MacOS 13 (Ventura) doesn’t have a General tab under Privacy and Security, and no “Open Anyway.”
Finder Help gave this:
The new System Settings in MacOS 13 (Ventura) doesn’t have a General tab under Privacy and Security, and no “Open Anyway.”
Finder Help gave this:
I am not a Mac User, so cannot test this. I hope it is of use to you.1. In the Finder on your Mac, locate the app you want to open.
1. Don’t use Launchpad to do this. Launchpad doesn’t allow you to access the shortcut menu.
2. Control-click the app icon, then choose Open from the shortcut menu.
3. Click Open.
The app is saved as an exception to your security settings, and you can open it in the future by double-clicking it just as you can any registered app."
I tried that, and everything worked as described. Solved!

Thank you both for your advice. I ended up downloading LibreOffice and - Yeah - It works with my old docs and its easy to create new docs.

I had the same problem with Open Office on my MacBook with OS Ventura 13.0.1
I downloaded Libre and I can now open my Open Office documents. Thank you very much.
Can I now remove the Open Office program from my computer and use Libre exclusively from now on.
