[Solved] Register Data Source, OpenOffice 4.1.12, Windows 11

Post by us71na »

Edit: Split from Register a Data Source, Oo 1.3.1, Ubuntu because your situation is different so you need your own topic. Please do not post in another's topic unless you are helping to solve their problem for them.

In windows 11, My version of Open Office 4.1.12 doesn't have the option under the Wizard tab for Address Data Source, nor does it have the File>New> option listed in this help. I need to create mailing labels from a Calc spreadsheet of CSV file with the address information. How do I create the data file and register it so the Open Office can find it?

csv is a database exchange format in plain text. csv is not a spreadsheet format.

menu:File>New>Database...
Type: Text
Specify the directory where you save the csv file (and possibly similarly structured ones)
Specify the import details (separators etc)
[X] Register database
Save database
Use database
