Support for user defined select text highlight color

For over 10 years now the OO Writer developers have ignored requests for a user defined color for selected text, and have been ignored. The shade decided by the OO Writer developers is almost impossible to see on Linux it is so light, and no option has been given for the user to change it.
This has been the case for over ten years and the OO writer developers seem not go give a s h i t what the users want . This is one time they can learn a lesson from Microsoft Word developers.

Linux? Use the pre-installed LibreOffice where this is not a problem.
Call Tools>Options... View and turn off transparency. Now you get back the old behaviour where the selection is highlighted by inverse colours.

LibreOffice 6.4.4.2 NO such option as transparency under tools>options>view?
What release of Office are you talking about?
A simple Screen Print is too large and not allowed on this forum. Pretty sad restriction when disk storage is so cheap these days especially for a large forum?
I tried to attach a simpls PRTSC.

This annoyance has been introduced with version 3.0 in 2008. The option to turn it off is in all versions of OpenOffice which did not change very much since then.
Indeed, LibreOffice does not have that switch anymore. It uses the same highlight color as the system.
