Copy/paste without changing one cell reference

Post by bardkin »

copy cells

I have a column that will copy the contents of one cell to each of the cells in a column. So in my case C19 has a formula that will produce different values based on the formula it contains. I need to copy that value into the cells of column E. But when I choose to paste it pastes c19 then c20 the c21 etc... I need to have c19 in all of those 50 cells. How do I do this with the copy paste function or is there another way that DOES NOT include manually typing in for each cell in column E?

Thanks!

Change the C19 to read $C$19
This is the difference between relative and absolute addresses.
