Uninstall

Post by bkober »

I could not get Open Office to funcion well on Leopard and want to erase it, but I am unable to. A bunch of programs are apparently active so I can't empty the trash. Any thoughts?

Have you tried rebooting to deactivate the running programs? I am not a Mac user, so it's just a guess. :)

Try clicking "continue" when you get that error message. A restart is the other option if that doesn't work.

Which programs ?

The Trash applet/droplet sometimes has a tendency to be somewhat cantankerous. One way to rid yourself of everything in your Trash folder is to open a terminal and type :

sudo rm -Rf .Trash/*
