LibreOffice Base: Question about backend database

According to a German user forum for Ubuntu Linux, the "problem" I was facing was set up intentionally by Ubuntu. This setup requires that you create your first database user(s) from the database's root account and this root account is only accessible while being logged in as system root. The same applies likewise to MariaDB and MySQL on Ubuntu Linux and possibly most of its derivates. This is no problem at all after you started your own database with your own configuration. The original poster's problem (as I understand it) was, that he strictly refused to start anything at all.
