[Solved] MS PowerPoint equivalent in OOo

Have never used Powerpoint, but need to give slide presentation, and guess Powerpoint would be used for something like that. Have notebookPC, can rent projector. Does OpenOffice have something similar to Powerpoint that can be used to create a program I can project for a group? (Have only used the writer function in OpenOffice, so need help with the other available functions)

Yes, OpenOffice comes with a tool to create slides, it is called Impress.
LibreOffice 4.2.3.3. on Ubuntu 14.04
