Default template for Writer changed with recent update

I'm not computer literate enough to talk about this in computer language. A couple days ago I was reminded that an update to OO 3.0.1 was available which I proceeded to download. Since then when I go to Writer to create a document, I get a default template that I'm completely unfamiliar with. Somehow everything got changed with that download. And I have an important report to write.

Templates are stored in the user profile (see [Tutorial] The OOo user profile). If you had a 2.x version, the profile should still be there. Then re-import your templates with the File>Templates>Organize dialog.
