.wps filter
.wps filter
I can not find a filter that will xlate microsoft works 7.0 word processor files (.wps). Works also has a spreadsheet (.xls) which works just fine. Works came with my computer in 2003. Anyone be able to do this?????
Re: .wps filter
There is no filter in the current version. Save them as Word files (.doc) and then you can open them with OOo. I believe one is the works.

Re: .wps filter
I have the same problem as bcravy. The file's text appears as blocks and many symbols. I have tried open office, wordperfect, abiword, wordpad, notepad and microsoft office word viewer 2003. I also downloaded and installed "Works Converter for Import/Export of Works Word Processor (.wps) Documents (Wp2krtf.exe)". Any other advice?
Re: .wps filter
Yes, there is a Works word processor (.wps) import filter for OpenOffice.org, but it's not in the mainstream/vanilla/Sun version.
That's an Excel format.Works also has a spreadsheet (.xls) which works just fine
