Hide Zeros

Post by dschessher »

I've created a quote form in Calc that works really well, except ... Each line has a formula that multiplies the quantity by the item price. Unless each line has an item in it (usually not), the formula evaluates to zero. (Actually, if there is no item price or quantity, why does the formula calculate at all?) I can hide the zeros in the display but they re-appear in the printed and PDF outputs. Is there any way to extend the Hide Zero Values to the printed format short of deleting prior to printing? Thanks.

You can either uncheck Format > Page > Sheet > Print > Zero values, or you can use a custom number format on the cell; something like this: 0;-0;"".

I prefer to use the number format, since it only affects the cells I apply it to, and it affects both display and printing the same, without any need to fiddle with settings.
