Re: install open office
Look here for some help http://nsis.sourceforge.net/Why_do_I_get_NSIS_Error. This error could also be found by doing a forum search which is preferred. For example here http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/ ... ror#p55256.
It's recommended to read the Survival Guide before posting http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/ ... m.php?f=76.

Problem solved.
the nsis-link is not very useful. downloaded several times under different conditions (as adviced) without success.
Now I tried the torrent-file, downloaded a suitable manager and it works.
just don´t ask me why

Downloading the torrent file works. Thanks for the advice! And btw, the support on this forum is great.
I don't get it, though. I've downloaded tons of programs, never bothering with clearing the cache, checking the md5-sum or stuff like that and I never encountered any integrity errors. I've tried installing ooo on several computers (in the different ways that are advised on this forum) and it comes up with this error consistently. How come?

Do you download from the official OOo web site?
The file is rather large so I guess it increases the risks of corruption during the process. But never had any issue myself under Windows or GNU/Linux systems. Have installed all the versions from 2.0 at least once on both systems.
