When deleting table cells in Microsoft Word, it gave me the option of moving remaining cells up, left, or right. How do I delete cells in Writer and move remaining cells in the same row up? So far, I've only figured out how to remove the contents of the cell and not the cell itself.
For instance, I have a column of cells each containing the day of the week for an entire month. I would like to delete the first two or three week days, and then move the remaining weekdays to the top - without disturbing the adjacent columns.
Thank you,

Re: Deleting Table Cells
Sorry, it's not supported in Writer. You can only delete entire rows or columns, not individual cells.
You have to move the data around manually: you should be able to select the cells you want to move up, then drag/drop them in the cell above in the same column.
Often, when I'm making a table in Writer that requires repeated data or simple series, I use Calc to create the data and then copy/paste into Writer. That has its own complications but it still comes in handy.
