Supressing the registration wizard - 2.2

Post by Stolly »

Hi,

We use Novell Zenworks to deploy OOo 2.2 to 700 or so PC's. It installs fine, but asks for the user details etc when it starts up for the first time.

Is there any way to supress this ? Without having to copy the contents of the C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\OpenOffice.org 2 directory to each machine / profile ? as described in http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wik ... ion_Wizard

That doesn't seem to be the most elegant way of doing it.

Launch OOo with this following option in the command line :

Code: Select all

-nofirststartwizard
Thanks to add '[Solved]' in your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed.
LibreOffice 25.2 on Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE Faye) and 24.8 portable on Windows 11.

Thanks that helps for already deployed PC's but is there a way to do this as part of the installation process ? So the installed copy never launches the registration wizard, without having to change the command line on all the installed copies.

Because its easy for us to change that, but once its deployed its more difficult to get to the PC's.

Changing the .msi ? I'm not used to that, perhaps you can either add the option to the default shortcut created, either change the default setup.xcu file that will be created at first startup.
