[Solved] Saving+exporting Options to a new installation

Post by Ssergio »

I'm moving my OpenOffice from Windows XP to a new PC with Windows Vista :-(.
I've reinstalled OpenOffice 2.3, but I'd like to Import all my settings from the old PC.

My quesion is:

Is there a way to export options and settings from OpenOffice 2.3 to a different installation?

Thanks to all!

Just copy and paste the OOo profile folder. In XP, it's \Documents and settings\<user>\Application data\OpenOffice.org2.

Have you checked the link you've created in your post above ?

Thanks to add '[Solved]' in your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed.

In a PM, Ssergio wrote:I've read your posting and answer to my question.
But I still have just a problem... Do you know where is the [damned] "option folder" (similar to OpenOffice.org2) in Windows Vista?
Thanks in advance!
I quote your PM because it may be useful for other Vista users.

My search with Google gave me that location : \Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\OpenOffice.org2, does it work ?

OK!
I've found the Folder. Very likely the folder has been created after the first usage of a OO component in Vista. I've "broadcasted" the original question before a first run of a OO component...

Thanks for support.
... And I'll keep using OO in any situation I can...

Best regards
