[Dropped] OpenOffice closes abruptly; work lost

Hi there,
I have just switched over to Open Office.
But while working in Writer or Base or Spreadsheet - the program will close without reason - and all the work done is gone.
There seems to be a RAM or memory situation.
Please guide me.

Also - I was working in ACCESS - but Microsoft is giving me a problem.
I can`t get the data from Access into Base ??
Please can you help me with this - step by step

You don't say what your operating system is.
