[Dropped] OpenOffice Calc hanging (Windows 11)

I'm a long time user of Open Office however with version 4.1.15 running under Windows 11 I am having issues with Calc. When I open a spreadsheet and enter data into a cell or copy and paste info into a cell, the program hangs for about 2 minutes. I get the rotating blue circle indicating the program is busy and at the top of the window it says the program is (Not Responding). After about 2 minutes the program accepts the entered or pasted info into the cell and there after it works fine. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program with no change.

A second issue I am having is OpenOffice hanging and then aborting. This most often happens with Open Office Writer. In this case I loose all unsaved work. Sometimes I'm able to recover the info upon restarting Open Office, but often the work is lost.

Any suggestions to address these issues would be greatly appreciated.

Try switching to LibreOffice and you might have better luck. There are several good reasons for making the switch anyway, some of which are mentioned here: [Tutorial] Considering a Switch from OpenOffice to LibreOffice? Some Useful Information

Sorry but I should have mentioned that I have already read the other similar threads and taken the recommended actions; turn off clip board history & suggestions. I was hopping there was some further actions that would resolve this issue as the only other recommendation I've seen to address this issue is to change to LibreOffice.

Is it a problem with several documents or only one in particular?

You can try to reset your OpenOffice user profile.
Is it a .ods file or something like .xls?
You may have better luck with LibreOffice, see [Tutorial] Considering a Switch from OpenOffice to LibreOffice? Some Useful Information. Try a portable version first to see if it really helps.
