I created a tool bar to use on my android tablet. Stripped down and more suitable for a tiny little screen.

Is there a way to export the toolbar for use on another device?

On a linux version of AOO I generated a new toolbar (NewToolbar1) and found that the contents were saved to:

/home/<user>/AOO4/myconfig/user/config/soffice.cfg/modules/swriter/toolbar/custom_toolbar_583b061f.xml

Be aware that /AOO4/myconfig/ is the path for the user's AOO profile.

Probably you could copy/paste the xml file to another AOO system...

Yes, you can export the toolbar for use on another device by using a file sharing service such as Dropbox or Google Drive.

As far as I know, in OpenOffice, you can export your customized toolbar as a configuration file (.cfg). To do this, go to the "Tools" menu, select "Options," and then choose "Toolbars." From there, you'll find an option to export your toolbar configuration.
Once you have the .cfg file, you can transfer it to another device and import it back into OpenOffice using the same "Toolbars" settings. This will allow you to replicate your customized toolbar on the new device.

I can't find such an option in AOO 4.1.14 - perhaps you can describe more precisely how to find it?

Thanks for pointing that out. Now, when I look in it more closely I see that OpenOffice really doesn't offer a straightforward way to export and import toolbars. It's one of those "wouldn't it be nice" features.

However, you can sorta get around this by copying your entire user profile. It's a bit like moving house, but it should do the trick. You'll find it under your user directory in a path like this: "C:\Users[Your Username]\AppData\Roaming\OpenOffice\4\user". Just copy that "user" folder to the same location on your new device.

I think that should work. What do you say?

The profile on Android may be different. Thus, I don't think it's relevant. And anyway, it doesn't really answer the question that is about exporting a single customized toolbar. Not the whole configuration.
And I think that 2 relevant answers have already been given.

In Windows10:
In the packed document (Jourefile.odt) jou find the folowing folders with the files showing a single user toolbox I created

1 Jourefile\Configurations2\toolbar\custom_toolbar_56acd56f.xml holds the toolbar.data
2 Jourefile\Configurations2\images\lc_imagelist.xml holds the administration of the bitmaps you may have made for the toolbar
3 Jourefile\Configurations2\images\Bitmaps\lc_userimages.png holds the corresponding images in a single .png file

Copy these files in the same place of jour new document
When jou load it the first time it says it is corrupt, repair it and safe.
Load it again and there's your toolbox,

You may have to copy and link macro's jou made corresponding to the toolbox buttons.
Buttons corresponding to the applicatie worked right away.
